Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. A favorite of moon gazers! The original piece was created as an experiment while I was snowed in one winters day. This was in 2010, when I first began my journey in photography. In the first version I had a more opaque moon. Since that time I have refined the piece by changing the moon to a more transparent version, which I find more intriguing. Award-winning piece
